General Legal FAQs
What types of cases does LBC Law Group specialize in?
Since 2015, LBC Law Group has handled complex personal injury, business/civil and criminal cases. That includes motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, business litigation, business formation, general civil litigation (think HOA’s, real estate contracts, unpaid loans etc) felonies and misdemeanors.
What is the process of working with LBC Law Group?
Consultation: Request a consultation right here on our website or call or text us at 702-608-3030. We provide free consultations and if we can help with your case, you will sign a retainer or contract to work with us.
Retainer: Describes the scope of the representation and any fees associated with your case.
Communication: We pride ourselves on communication, and provide text numbers and email to keep you informed about your case. We also encourage in person meetings and you will meet with an attorney upon retaining our Firm and thereafter upon any request. Our fair billing practices in civil matters are the best and most fair in the Valley. That means we don’t bill your retainer unless we do more than 15 minutes worth of work on your case. Ask your other lawyer if they do that.
Resolution: Once your case nears resolution, you will be heavily involved and informed about the results. That means your approval of any settlement funds, and oversight of how those are disbursed.
How much does an attorney cost?
We all know attorneys are expensive and can even prove cost prohibitive with some firms. LBC Law Group believes you should have access to experienced, skilled attorneys without having to go broke, so LBC has fee arrangements that fit your case and your needs.
Personal injury cases are on a contingency fee, meaning we don’t get paid until we win–and then out of a total settlement paid by a 3rd party insurance company. That means you won’t have to pay us anything up front and commits us to obtaining for you the most compensation possible. We are a team and the fee schedule represents that.
Most criminal cases are a flat fee, and are very competitive considering our decades of experience. For example, our fee for a DUI case is usually $2,500, compared to double that with many of our competitors.
If your case is a civil matter, we will request a retainer payment and we bill that retainer based on each hour worked. Good news, call us for a quick question–we won’t bill you. We want to encourage you to have communication and a relationship with your attorney.
Can LBC Law Group answer my legal questions?
You may have what you think is a unique and scary legal question–but we have seen it all (almost)! Call, text or email us first and we would be happy to give you some peace of mind. If we can’t answer your legal question or don’t happen to work in the area of law you’re concerned with, we will find you an attorney who we believe would treat you as well as we do.
Does LBC Law Group have a consultation fee?
Most of our consultations are free. For example, any personal injury or criminal case is a free telephone or in-person consultation. In certain business or civil litigation consultations may include a small fee, but if you retain LBC, we will apply that with a multiplier. For example, if we charge a $200 consultation fee and you hire our Firm, we will apply $400 to the retainer fee.
